Most of my compute is very low-powered, I have been following the [[https://www.servethehome.com/introducing-project-tinyminimicro-home-lab-revolution/|Tiny-Mini-Micro]] trend to build some low-cost, low-powered compute. There are times however, when you need some more oomph for single-threaded applications or high-speed storage. For this I have a separate AM4 based node. This is a whitebox based around the AsRock x470D4U so I still get IPMI. 

I run publicly accessible game servers for my friends, I trust these game servers about as far as **they can throw me** so each game has it's own vlan with firewall rules preventing it from reaching anything.
